中美商会联合市议员办公室成功举办 SYEP夏季青年就业计划雇主工作坊

华人企业主积极响应，逾20家企业参与；Nassau County企业同样可申请参与

2026年3月31日下午，美国中美商会（NYSACA）联合纽约市议员Sandra Ung办公室（第20选区）及纽约市青年与社区发展局（DYCD），在法拉盛皇后区公共图书馆成功举办了’纽约市夏季青年就业计划（SYEP）雇主工作坊’。活动吸引逾20家来自法拉盛及周边地区的华人小企业主参与，现场气氛热烈。

On the afternoon of March 31, 2026, the NY Sino-American Commerce Association (NYSACA), in partnership with NYC Council Member Sandra Ung’s office (District 20) and the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), successfully hosted the NYC Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) Employer Workshop at the Flushing branch of the Queens Public Library. More than 20 Chinese-American small business owners from Flushing and the surrounding area attended the event.

• DYCD representatives provided a comprehensive overview of the SYEP 2026 process, including step-by-step guidance for businesses interested in becoming worksites, with a registration deadline of May 8, 2026.
• Attendees learned that through SYEP, businesses can host interns aged 14 to 24 at zero cost — each intern provides approximately 150 hours of work, with wages fully covered by the City of New York.
• Representatives from Council Member Sandra Ung’s District 20 office highlighted policy support for the Chinese-American business community and encouraged businesses to take advantage of this government resource.
• NYSACA shared a digital marketing internship playbook showing how businesses can match SYEP interns with short-form video production, AI tools, and social media content workflows to reduce marketing costs.
• Key announcement: Businesses located in Nassau County (within 100 miles of NYC) are also eligible to become SYEP worksites — a broader reach than many participants previously knew.

纽约市夏季青年就业计划（SYEP）是全美规模最大的青年就业计划，由纽约市青年与社区发展局（DYCD）主办，每年夏季为14至24岁纽约市青年提供带薪实习岗位。2026年项目时间为6月23日至8月4日，雇主申请截止日期为2026年5月8日。感兴趣的企业可访问 nyc.gov/hirenycyouth 了解详情并报名。

The NYC Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is the nation’s largest youth employment program, administered by DYCD. The 2026 program runs from June 23 to August 4. The deadline for employers to register as a worksite is May 8, 2026. Interested businesses can visit nyc.gov/hirenycyouth to learn more and apply.
